About the Artist

Melisa Crandlemire is an oil painter and oil pastel artist based in High River, Alberta. Her work draws from the quiet rhythms of the natural world — the sweep of prairie skies, the stillness of a winter morning, the shifting light across rolling foothills.

Working primarily in oil and oil pastel on cotton paper and canvas, Melisa builds each piece through layers of colour and gesture. Her paintings balance impressionistic freedom with a grounded sense of place, inviting viewers into moments of contemplation and calm.
